Isaiah 35: A Stunning Invitation of Salvation to All Nations — Even in the Tribulation

When I read Isaiah 35, I don’t just see poetry.

I see prophecy.

I see an invitation.

And I see the heart of God reaching out—not only to Israel, but to all nations, even to those who are today trapped in false religion, including Islam.

Isaiah 35 is a vision of the world transformed when God breaks into human history and reveals Himself unmistakably. It’s a picture of redemption so massive, so beautiful, that even the hardened and deceived will have their eyes opened.

During the tribulation, when the whole earth is shaken and every false god collapses, everyone will know who the true God is. And in that moment of global awakening, Isaiah 35 declares something astonishing:

God will still be inviting people in.

And many will come.

A Desert Awakening: God Revealing Himself to a Deceived World

Isaiah begins the chapter by describing deserts bursting into bloom:

“The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad;

the desert shall rejoice and blossom like the crocus.” (Isaiah 35:1)

This is more than nature imagery—it’s a spiritual metaphor.

A dead, dry world suddenly comes alive.

A world blinded by deception suddenly begins to see.

This is exactly what will happen during the tribulation as the judgments of God expose every lie that humanity trusted in. When everything false is stripped away, many who never sought the true God will begin to cry out for Him.

And this includes millions of Muslims.

“Your God Will Come… and He Will Save You”

The heart of the chapter is this explosive promise:

“Behold, your God…

He will come and save you.” (Isaiah 35:4)

This is not only a word to Israel—it is a revelation for the whole earth.

In the tribulation, when God reveals Himself in undeniable power, the offer of salvation will still be open:

• Not just for Christians.

• Not just for Israel.

• But for anyone who turns to Him.

Even for those who once followed Islam, deceived by a system that denies the Son of God.

This is the grace and mercy of God on display at the end of the age.

“The Eyes of the Blind Shall Be Opened” — A Prophetic Turning of Hearts

Isaiah declares that when God comes:

“The eyes of the blind shall be opened.” (Isaiah 35:5)

This is both literal and spiritual.

Spiritually, it describes a world whose eyes have been shut by false religion suddenly confronted with truth so powerful they can no longer deny it. Muslims who have never heard the gospel clearly—or who were told lies about Jesus—will finally see Him for who He is.

Not all will turn.

But millions will.

Revelation 7 shows a “great multitude that no one can number” coming out of the tribulation, worshipping the Lamb. That includes people from the Muslim world.

Isaiah saw this 700 years before Christ.

The Highway of Holiness: A Clear and Open Way of Salvation

One of the most stunning images in the chapter is the “Way of Holiness”:

“A highway shall be there…

It shall be called the Way of Holiness.” (Isaiah 35:8)

This highway is a picture of access—a clear, unmistakable path to salvation.

Isaiah adds something remarkable:

“Even fools shall not go astray.”

In other words:

God will make the way of salvation so clear that anyone can find it.

During the tribulation, when the Antichrist system rises and deception reaches its peak, God will respond by making truth even clearer.

The gospel will be preached by:

• Angels (Revelation 14)

• Two witnesses in Jerusalem (Revelation 11)

• Millions of awakened believers

• The global shaking itself

And many in the nations—including Muslims—will walk this highway straight into the arms of the Messiah.

“The Ransomed of the LORD Shall Return” — A Global Harvest

Isaiah ends with a vision of joy:

“The ransomed of the LORD shall return…

Everlasting joy shall be upon their heads.” (Isaiah 35:10)

This is the great harvest Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24:14—a global multitude coming to faith just before judgment falls.

It’s the same scene John saw:

People from every nation, tribe, and tongue standing before the throne—including a vast number from the Muslim world who will turn when they finally see the truth.

Isaiah 35 is not a narrow promise.

It’s a global invitation.

A prophetic whisper of the mercy God will show—even in judgment.

Why This Matters Right Now

We are approaching the moment Isaiah described.

Deception is rising.

False religions are strengthening.

The world is preparing for the Antichrist system.

And yet—God is already drawing hearts.

He is already stirring Muslims with dreams and visions of Jesus.

He is already awakening the nations.

He is already preparing the highway.

Isaiah 35 is the promise that:

When the tribulation comes and God reveals Himself unmistakably, the invitation to salvation will go out to every nation—including to those who today follow Islam. And many will answer.

This is the heart of God:

He desires none to perish—including Muslims.

And He will reveal Himself so clearly that the world will have no doubt who the true God is.
